A spray gun works by using compressed air to atomize paint into a fine mist, which is then sprayed onto a surface. Paint is fed into the gun's nozzle either from a cup (gravity-feed) or a separate container (siphon or pressure-feed). As the trigger is pulled, the air pressure forces the paint through a nozzle, breaking it into fine particles that create a smooth, even coating. Adjustments can be made to control the spray pattern, flow rate, and pressure for precise application and finish quality.
